Front wall

Rounding the corner, here's a long view of the front facade, with the road sign again visible on the right. The standard W-beam guardrail to stop cars from hitting the front wall of the store is an interesting touch, again showing how this store is from an era where Fred Meyer put much less effort into keeping up appearances -- plus, it's just odd to see  a store without any sort of walkway along its front wall. The newer, but still horribly faded, cart corral on the right only adds to the run-down look, but I've seen similarly worn corrals at other Fred Meyers (somehow not at Safeway, though, even though they used basically the same model during the Lifestyle v1 era).
