Fast forward to 2020

That's not the end for this store, though. This was one of the first Seattle Safeways to be remodeled to Modern, and as such I revisited this store in early 2020 (February, to be precise, making this one of my last pre-lockdown tours). Interestingly, the remodel included a facade repaint, replacing the dark grey that the landlord had installed a few years back with a two-tone beige color scheme that's very similar to what it had originally. I was quite surprised to see this, since Safeway seems to be moving from beige to grey with most of their stores that have been repainted recently.
