Yep, apparently the dry and canned milk had been split up at some point, and someone's solution to that was to stick a labelmaker sticker on the existing category markers! Safeway went through a long period of minimally investing in their existing stores around here through the mid-2010s (both before and after the Albertsons merger), and DIY modifications like this were a fairly common sign of neglect.
Ha, I wonder if most people even notice there is a message on that category marker! It's a confusing one as well. Why wouldn't all that stuff be in one spot?
ReplyDeleteFor a long time (pre-merger), Safeway tended to do major resets of their stores every couple years... I guess at some point, someone decided it was a good decision to split them up for some odd reason. Honestly, I didn't know Safeway sold dry milk at all!
