The far back corner of this store is home to self-serve meats, along with the sole aisle of liquor. I quite like the shiny tile for the meat department -- similar to what Safeway's Modern Decor uses, just with the tiles arranged in a subway pattern rather than stacked. The "Corks & Caps" sign is interesting, if a bit too literal, filling the words with, well, corks and (bottle) caps -- New Seasons had a similar idea, but did it better, using
actual bottle caps instead of just a printed picture.
This really looks quite different from what I'm used to with Sprouts! We have lots of wood paneling and this is something very modern looking. I know Safeway Modern combines the wood paneling with something very modern, lol, but Sprouts certainly took two very different approaches with their old and new decor packages!
