Fresh from the farm

The dairy sign is one of the long-running mysteries about Neighborhood for me. Most stores got signs very much like this one, reading "Dairy fresh from the farm", but early stores normally instead said "Dairy fresh from Washington"; however, this very early store has the more generic wording. Either the wording was changed and then quickly changed back, or this store isn't as early of a Neighborhood store as I had thought.

  1. Wow, that's a terrible looking floor there. That's almost as bad as one of the HEBs around here.

Those dairy cooler 'islands' are something that would be quite unusual for Krogers here, but I guess this store has limited space along the wall for coolers.

    1. Yeah, this is certainly not the best looking QFC around! The whole dairy setup with the alcove behind the grand aisle is a bit unusual for QFC too, though dairy seems to be a department that doesn't really have a standard setup at QFC, instead being arranged in all sorts of different ways in different stores.
