Hey, you stole that from produce

Beyond the produce department is the bakery, though only the bread section is actually along the perimeter wall -- this store has a very weird layout (I should have probably drawn up the layout shortly after my visit, which I actually had the foresight to do at one of the other weird Fred Meyers I visited this summer for the first time ever), and the bakery is spread between this small section on the outside and a separate section across the actionway, on the island formed by the escalators to the upper level. The sign here is one that I haven't seen before, and the "fresh" part of the sign looks like it's stolen from a properly-curved "fresh from the fields" sign!

  1. I find it particularly intriguing to see the custom (or at least, very rarely used) elements of this décor package. I don't believe I've seen this sign either, but the use of a blank gray wall and fonts spilling over from other departments in the store I have definitely seen in similar one-off signs.

    1. It certainly is -- and there's a lot more of that to come in this store!
