The decor on the left wall is the large "proud to be a part of your community" sign. This is one of the local flair elements from Heritage, but sadly, this store got a rather boring sign, compared with some other Heritage stores. Also, I think the sign reads a lot better when it has the city name before the other text, though having a comma after community would help too. I can't help but read "your community Renton" in the same way as the "your community Big Lots" signs!
Oh wow, yeah that Hammond store looks a lot better with the background mural! That's too bad Renton didn't get one of those.
ReplyDeleteSure does! Also, not sure why the link decided not to work correctly the first time around, but it should be working now.
DeleteI tried to post something yesterday, but Blogger was eating the comments so I gave up. I'll try again today!
DeleteYeah, I wonder why the Louisiana stores get so much more festive local flair than this store. It's a bit strange and unfortunate for the NW. Also, it does look like there should be a comma after 'Community'. In fact, I don't know why 'Community' is even capitalized!
I think the Louisiana Albertsons stores might be run out of the Dallas division. I suspect that's the same division that runs the Texas Tom Thumb and Randall's stores. With that in mind, it's good that the Dallas division takes decor rather seriously I suppose!
Ugh, not again...
DeleteThose Louisiana stores look really nice in general. I suppose the problem here is probably in part that this store is rather old and small, and in part because the people running the show around here aren't used to Heritage. (Though the special aisle markers this store got look quite nice!)
