Grand aisle overview

This picture kind of sucks, but it's the only way I was able to understand the layout over here, so I figured it would be helpful to include anyway. My old camera never liked exposed florescent lighting like this (and my new one isn't much better). I suspect this layout was largely put in during the Grocery Palace era, since this sort of grand aisle isn't common in 50s (or 70s) stores! It's also interesting to see that this store still has Albertsons produce fixtures, rather than the new Safeway ones installed in the Gig Harbor store when it got repainted.

  1. Ah, I see what you're saying now -- this was a Grocery Palace change, not that the entire store has that full layout. Disregard my earlier comment then, lol!

    1. Yeah, I can't be sure that this store ever had Grocery Palace, but it certainly has some of the larger quirks that are normally associated with that decor package, like the double deli and pharmacy island. I'm sure they had some constraints here, since this store is quite old for Albertsons!
