Fred Meyer indoor garden center

Remember the weird side alcove in the Mill Creek Fred Meyer that I couldn't figure out? Well, it turns out the answer is something I wasn't even considering -- it was an indoor garden center! I've never seen a Fred Meyer with something like this before, since they normally keep this sort of merchandise outdoors (under a canopy), or sometimes in the main store itself. In Mill Creek, what must have happened was that during the Northwest remodel, they moved most of this merchandise to the new covered outdoor space, and then removed the wall to open the old space up to the main salesfloor. Other than still being walled off, this space is pretty much identical to the Mill Creek one, including the extra door to the outdoor garden center on the front wall.
