This picture should do a good job of showing how the checkouts are, bizarrely, plopped right in the middle of this store. The main entrance is back next to the floral department, and the parking garage entrance is next to the box with the thank you sign on it. I really don't get it, and there must be something in the water in this neighborhood, since the QFC down the street has a similar, equally bizarre checkout setup.
