Low clearance

Getting back to the main photo series... as you might have been able to tell from that picture of the dairy sign, the back section of this store has a much lower ceiling, due to a few stores above (located off Mercer St, which is at a higher elevation than this store's entrance) sticking into the Safeway space. Interestingly, Safeway installed special low-clearance aisle markers here, with only two plaques -- unlike QFC and Fred Meyer, Safeway clearly prioritized keeping the design consistent over keeping a reasonable number of category plaques, not that it really matters here since the only way to this actionway is through one of the signed aisles so you'd probably have seen the full-size aisle markers already anyway.
