And it's not even like this department just has decor items, which would maybe kind of make sense in a weird way. Nope -- there was plenty of seasonal food over here too! So yeah, who even knows. 


Anyways, it's time for me to have a vacation! I'm leaving tomorrow and I'll be out of town until a week from Monday. I'm not planning on posting while I'm gone (unlike my last vacation), but we'll see. And this one's not going to be a retail-themed trip either, so I probably won't even be doing anything of real interest for this blog. In fact, I'm really not planning much of everything for this trip since I really just want a break from how busy I've been lately! So we'll just see what happens.

    Well, before you go on vacation, you might want to do some shopping! I found that an auction company in Seattle is selling a whole bunch of QFC fixtures from presumably a closed Seattle QFC.       Oh hey, it's the micro-QFC! I'd be tempted, but sadly I have neither the space nor the means to get them home from the store. (I'm pretty sure they're too big to take on the bus!) I'd also love to actually visit an auction at some point, but they're pretty much always during the week, and so far the ones I've been interested in have all been when I have other things going on that I can't just bail on. ☹️

      It would be interesting to walk on a bus with a QFC aisle marker! I'm sure the reaction would be great! You could also ask to borrow your parent's car, but then you might have to explain to them that you bought some QFC decor, lol.

      It would be neat to buy some of this decor, but sometimes those retail signs look smaller than they really are in photos. Oh well, it's still neat that this stuff is available.

    It almost looks like they spaced out the lettering differently on these two sides, but zooming in I see the "L" is in the same spot on both. It just looks from a distance like the side on the left extends farther out past the angular wood slats. I agree with what you wrote in the previous description, it's strange not only that they went for the name "seasonal décor" at all, but that they specifically did so when this sign would have been much better off with just a one word department name...
