Faded glory

While there's nothing too obvious outside of this store (ignoring the lack of cars and carts alike in the lot), it becomes immediately obvious that this store is well past its prime -- and that the Roman Empire theme ended up perhaps a little too on the nose. The separate entry and exit doorways and dedicated cart return pathway were clearly designed for high-volume operations, but there was probably a single-digit number of customers at the time of my visit (which was a weekend only a week before christmas, so it should have been a busy time). The store hours sign was poorly covered with a sheet of printer paper announcing reduced hours, which seem to have changed regularly. And inside the doors, you can see a bunch of ads and promotional displays for credit cards and the like, rather than actually advertising the products (theoretically) available for sale.
