With the new layout, the liquor department really feels less like a department and more like a couple aisles up against the left wall, which means the raised ceiling on this end no longer really lines up with anything. This is another part of the store that feels really dark post-remodel -- I suppose it could just be the pictures, but I remember this store seeming rather dark in person too.
This department looks like a downgrade compared to what Albertsons used to have. Also, I've never seen the Modern goosenecks in wood grain, I thought they were only black
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, they come in 3 colors -- the standard black-with-silver in the normal departments, woodgrain-with-silver in the liquor department, and (very rarely, but this store has them) turquoise-with-black in the health and beauty department in certain stores. Around here, most stores have the first two options, but if you're used to stores without liquor departments, you'd probably only see the one.
