I really wish I knew, since I'd love to figure out more about the history of the various versions of QFC Fresh Fare decor. This version (the pictograph version, as I've been calling it) is apparently about the only version that was used in other Kroger divisions, and was used throughout the life of QFC's various different versions of Fresh Fare. What I'm not sure about is whether it was used in the first QFC remodels (and then evolved into the more-common versions), was used at the end of the line (with QFC deciding to standardize on the Kroger version), or was used sporadically throughout the life of QFC Fresh Fare. The limited evidence I currently have suggests the third option is the case, but I really need to dive deeper in to that at some point.
Here's a view back towards the extremely cramped entrance area, hemmed in between the floral counter and the pharmacy. The pharmacy box was installed in the 2002 remodel, and for a long time I thought this decor was installed at that time (making this one of the first QFC Fresh Fare remodels), but looking back through building permits, there might have been another remodel in 2008 (and if that was the case, this would have been one of the last QFC Fresh Fare remodels).

I'm interested in the answer, but I know that stuff can be hard to find. Good luck if you decide to tackle it!
ReplyDeleteHa, I'll put it on my list of research projects that I really should do but probably never will! 😃
