Rounding the corner, we find even more relics! The frozen department cube category markers aren't as old as the Lucerne signs, nor would they have directly been in the way of the contractors, but they are extremely obvious so I don't understand how they could have been forgotten about. Interestingly, the standard Modern Decor category markers weren't installed here (the case strips were, though), as if someone intended for the cubes to continue to be the category signage.
There's something about that sign that says "meats & cheese" which seems to bother me, lol. It's not grammatically incorrect, but it seems to me that perhaps saying "meats & cheeses" might be more balanced and might also emphasize the variety of cheeses being sold. Oh well, that's just my cheesy opinion, lol.
ReplyDeleteWith how sloppy these remodels are, it wouldn't surprise me if that was just an error. Other stores have "cheeses".
DeleteWell, now I feel vindicated for feeling that it should say "cheeses" instead of just "cheese." It's still a bit of a mystery as to why this store took a different direction other than to blame sloppiness as you say.
DeleteYeah, the best I can guess is that someone lost a letter, and no one cared enough to point it out 😉
