Busy front end

The 6-foot distancing rule that everyone's obsessed with these days really highlights just how cramped Safeway front ends are, even in big stores like this, with lines often spilling into the aisles. But at least it means that there's space to walk through with a cart, something that was often a challenge pre-pandemic! (If only Safeway would actually staff their stores to the extent needed...) Anyway, getting back on topic, this end of the checkouts did get the proper Modern Decor express lane and self checkout signs, so who knows why the other end didn't. (I also don't get why Safeway decided to put the self checkouts on the secondary entrance side of this store!)
