Wide open space

I can't overstate how much of a difference the removal of the escalator ceiling box has made for this store. (Oops, I almost said "can't understate"! Blame this song, which is absolutely amazing but makes that same mistake. Come on, guys...) I know I've talked about this more than enough already, but the wide open upper floor, with giant window walls on two sides, is one of the nicest modern retail spaces around. I know Target doesn't completely get credit for this, as they just retrofitted an existing double-height space, but they do get credit for un-screwing it up with this remodel.
