Spirits and food

This part of the store is a bit cramped so it's hard to get great pictures... but here's a view of the "Spirits" and "Food" circle signs. I particularly like the one for the liquor department, with the abstract blue pattern, which is one of the less common ones since Rite Aids don't always have full liquor departments. This store also has faux-wood flooring and fancy shelving for the liquor department, which isn't super common either.

  1. Judging by the relatively empty shelves and pegboards in the home & hardware aisle and the 50%/75% off sale tags, I wonder if Rite Aid is clearing out their home & hardware inventory. If so, I'm not sure why because that stuff is pretty common in drug stores and supermarkets. That's a bit of an odd situation. I probably would have purchased some of those Command hooks and bulbs at 75% off, lol.

    1. It's really hard to say -- it's sadly not that uncommon for Rite Aid shelves in the general merchandise section to look rather bare, and this sort of thing was a common thing throughout the store (in Port Angeles, at least) during the last recession. This sort of giant discount isn't that weird either, though it does look like at least some of the signs say "clearance" at the bottom. So yeah, not entirely sure what's going on here, and sadly I don't get to Rite Aid often enough to say if this is some chainwide thing or not.
