One thing that I'm almost certain won't be happening this year is the holiday market in Westlake Park, which the local business association has been putting on for the last few years. I certainly won't miss the tacky/touristy nature of it, but if there is nothing in this space, it will be yet another sign of Downtown's incredibly abrupt decline this year. It's really sad to see what happens when both tourists and locals abandon what had been such a vibrant area, and I wonder if it will recover anytime soon.
