Grocery Outlet Bargain Meat

The center part of the back wall is home to the meat section, what little of it there is. The Grocery Outlet sign itself is placed dead center in the store -- while this picture doesn't show the arch itself, the angled wood paneling is the giveaway for that, coming to a point right above the sign. That wood paneling is a leftover from the original decor package that these early Marina stores opened with (possibly a northwest-specific trait, as I haven't seen it in the California stores), and one that has remained, albeit painted over, in quite a few of the surviving Marina stores. Meanwhile, the brand logo panels continue being sometimes related to the department, sometimes not, sometimes well-known brands, sometimes not... it all feels rather random, and I honestly have to wonder if the decor installers just get a giant stack of these signs and stick them up wherever they want.
