Was I even trying to get a straight shot here?

The exterior of this store is extremely bland, apart from the very poorly done signage (I get that local regulations can sometimes require undersized signage, but come on, at least don't leave a giant gap between the signs!), though looking at it now it makes sense why it doesn't look much at all like a Safeway! Of course, it doesn't look much like a Thriftway either, but that's not exactly surprising since not only is Thriftway a rather loosely-organized group of independent stores, but there's even less of a link between the Washington and Oregon Thriftways.
