As outdated as this whole decor package is, the deli sign seems like the most outdated thing, between the color scheme, font, and checkerboard tablecloth-y pattern. At least in this store the food pictures still look like they're supposed to and aren't some unappetizing faded green color.
While I didn't think much of it at the time, the layout of the store over here is rather odd. The deli service counter is on the front wall itself, rather than being in the front left corner, which instead was home to the bakery. It's possible that this is an old Safeway thing that would have been changed if this store had gotten a Lifestyle remodel, but I suspect it's a Thriftway leftover -- but of course, no way to know for sure.
