The layaway counter sat in a weird little hallway in the back of the store. Despite the closure, the counter must have still been in some sort of use, since there were people at it when I was here -- hence the weird picture angle. Just like at the garden center, whatever wall signage this area probably once had went missing at some point, probably at the same time that the walls were repainted in some semblance of one of Kmart's newer decor packages.
