Here's a view into the meat alcove, featuring more of what must be the "background" decor style in Grocery Palace (which is still more elaborate than what many decor packages have anywhere in the store!). I'm really not a fan of the pinkish-beige floor tile used in this department, though it is one of the only traces of the different-floors-for-each-department approach that was used to great effect in fancier Grocery Palace stores.
The signage style here and in International Deli are really interesting... I've never seen any examples other than the giant suspended department signs like in that post of AFB's you linked to.
