Weird lobby

Inside those doors is this weird, empty lobby space. For some reason, when I first saw this, I thought the inside window wall would open up to be the store entrance, like you see in malls sometimes, but no -- in fact, you can't even really see the actual entrance from here, as it's hidden around the back. Instead of putting yet another interior Target sign in here, maybe it would have made sense to install something directing shoppers towards the hidden entrance...
