Another awkward bit of this store's odd layout -- the entrance doors dump you right in to the entrance/exit of the checkouts! It wasn't too bad at this point, but I imagine this area would get cramped fast if the store ever gets busy. (And yes, that's certainly an if rather than a when at this store!) Anyways, since this store is so weird, it's time to resurrect an old NWRetail standard: the store layout diagram!
Yep, this store's certainly a bit weird! I didn't put a ton of detail on this plan (mostly because I was too confused by it myself!), but you should still be able to visualize the weird S-shaped path to enter the store and the very strange shape of the salesfloor (outlined in red). In person I thought it felt like an H-shaped layout (with the long sides of the H along the front and back walls), but it's clearly a good bit more complex than that! And if you're thinking the merchandise mix seems a little weird from the labels here, well, it certainly seemed odd in person too...
