At the north end of the site is the standard Walgreens LED readerboard, which would typically be paired with a pylon sign like this, but for some reason seems to have always been on its own like this. Obviously, it's off now, but Street View seems to show it on in summer 2017, well after the store's closure -- are these programmed by corporate or something?
One of the Fred's in Southaven still had its electronic readerboard going last time I went by. Not sure how those things work. If it continues past October, we'll know it's not corporate, since Fred's will cease to exist :P
ReplyDeleteHa! I always assumed it would be at the store level, but I suppose it would make sense for it to be run at a higher level. In this case, it appears to have been off earlier in 2017 and on a few months later, so someone must have messed with something...
