Last but not least among the big news for this update, the floral department has moved from its old home by the garden center over to the new spot next to groceries, where the original self checkout pods were. I always liked the garden center-adjacent setup, but this is more in line with most other stores. Also of note (but which I completely failed to capture with this picture), the Entertainment sign has actually been finished and no longer says "Entertai". And finally, a Pokemon-branded vending machine has shown up between the electronics and jewelry sections -- maybe I'm just out of the loop, but I have no clue what they could be selling there... (and I did look, but it was empty this time.)
It looks like you stumbled upon a Pokemon card vending machine: https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinteresting/comments/aasmw7/pok%C3%A9mon_card_vending_machine_i_found_in_seattle/
ReplyDeleteCan't say I've heard of that either, but I'm also a bit out of the loop like you!
Interesting -- never even knew Pokemon cards were a thing!
DeleteI've heard of the cards (they've been around since 1996 and were an elementary school staple in my day), but not the machines.
