Kirkland QFC: Decor plans time!

With the actual photos out of the way, it's time to look at the plans! Unlike what we saw last time, this store actually was built more or less in line with the "preliminary" plans I had found. There were a few key differences though...
  • Page 2 shows the original Kirkland Kitchen decor design. This is the space that became the Tutta Bella.
  • The Fit Market sign says Inspire Wellness instead, and the decor looks even more like what Main & Vine had.
  • Most interestingly, these plans show the full QFC logo in several places, which shows up practically nowhere in the completed store. The ones on page 1 over the exit doors (which notably included the standard arched holding shape) were replaced with Main & Vine-style Thanks & Come Again signs, the one on page 2 next to the unbuilt Kirkland Kitchen was changed for just a giant Q, and the one on page 4 for produce was replaced with the full Q Pacific Northwest logo.
While the first item is obviously specific to this store, the third one appears to be permanent as those elements have shown up on later remodel plans, which I will eventually post when I post the pictures of the corresponding stores. (The second is harder to tell, as it is rare for QFC to have health and beauty as a perimeter department; however, it sounds like the Fit Market name and concept is here to stay.)

This still isn't the end for my coverage of the Kirkland QFC, however! Come back tomorrow for more special posts...

  1. I actually like the Kirkland Kitchen and full QFC logo next to that... not that it turned out poorly with the Tutta Bella instead, of course, but still.
