Welcome back to the Kirkland QFC!

We've already seen this store, so if you want more background, check out my first photo set from a couple years back. The short of it: This store was built in 1982, and has stayed pretty much untouched since then -- for another day or so at least!

As I discussed last time we saw this store, it is about to be replaced with a brand new store next door, as part of the mixed-use redevelopment of the former Parkplace Center complex. A little over a week ago, I decided to head back to get some last-minute pictures of the old store, as well as the almost-complete new store next door. In doing so, I was finally able to confirm the opening date of the new store (July 31st), which means that the old store closes... tomorrow! Almost perfect timing with this post, perhaps as good as it's ever going to get with this blog! 🙂
