As if that wasn't enough, the store is full of little bits of local flair scattered around. These pictures, which I had to get a picture of for the transportation angle, show two of the major roads running by the store (Barbur Blvd, as I mentioned already, and Terwilliger Blvd, which intersects it just northeast of the store) under construction in the 1930s.
