As you can see, there was still quite a bit of foot traffic in front of the old Fred Meyer, which stands in the middle of a mostly-full strip mall. With the limited space in front of the overhang, quite a few people walked through the old cart space instead, which is why I felt sorta comfortable stepping in there.
