Welcome to Main & Vine!

This store, which is out in Gig Harbor on the south end of the Kitsap Peninsula, was built in 1985 as a QFC. In 2015-16, the store was converted into "the world’s first “Main & Vine,” an experimental concept developed and managed by Cincinnati-based Kroger, parent to both QFC and Fred Meyer." Main & Vine was developed as an even more upscale version of QFC, more of a Whole Foods sort of thing than a standard grocery store. From the initial coverage of this store opening, it sounded like Kroger wanted to take this concept nationally; however, as most of the few of you reading this will already know, the store closed last year, with Kroger quick to dismiss it as a simple experiment that went nowhere.
