Like most Targets, this store has a small compliment of newer self checkouts. While self checkouts always nice, I do have to nitpick about the register lights used, which look rather close to the manufacturer default rather than matching the (quite nice) ones that go along with this decor. Also quite visible here is some of the Halloween signage that was up when I was here -- Target always seems to go fairly elaborate with their seasonal promotional signage, and this looks nicer than what some stores (like the one we're going to next) use as their real decor!
The more recent P17 remodels changed the look of the self-checkout lane lights to be a glass panel back lit by LEDs, which now match the lights on the regular registers. I have a photo of this, but of course it's not posted yet! ReplyDeleteThe regular lanes have identical ones, just oriented sideways to attach to the pole running up to the ceiling.
Wow, very nice! I hope some of the stores around here get that deluxe remodel eventually...
