Heading to the far end of the hallway, we find the reason for its depressing state -- the old Mervyn's mall entrance has been unceremoniously walled off by Walmart, who would rather just have an outside entrance I guess. Amusingly, all the directional signs throughout the mall (like the one on the lamppost here) point you this way through the mall to Walmart -- seems rather inefficient, though I guess you would stay drier that way. This is clearly the least elegant of all the abandoned mall entrances here, showing again how little the owners seem to care about this section of their mall.
