Just around the corner from Target is the mall's Walmart. While the architecture looks weirdly similar to that of older Walmarts, it is very much not the original tenant of this space, opening in 2012 in the former Mervyn's space. The building was built in the 70s as part of the mall's first (and only) major expansion. Mervyn's, meanwhile, was a west coast chain of department stores that closed down in 2009, after being sold off by Target. (Pretty ironic how that led to this store being bought by one of their biggest competitors!). 2010 and 2011 Street View images captured this place with some very obvious Mervyn's logoscars (from what appears to be their pre-1989 logo) intact, not long before Walmart's takeover.
