In the P17 decor package, the liquor department was also upgraded, receiving the same trellis-and-spotlights look as the produce section. I'm not sure if this is a common thing elsewhere, but it seems like pretty much every store around here is putting a huge emphasis on the liquor section in their remodels these days for some reason. Guess that must be where the profit lies these days...

DeleteI assume it's liquor laws. I've never looked into it, but I don't know of any stores in Mississippi with liquor departments. Tennessee doesn't have any, either. A big deal was made when grocery stores in TN were allowed to sell wine! MS doesn't have wine either...
