Bakery cave

Much of the store's bakery department is also under the soffit, which, combined with all the dark wood finishes and the dim lighting, gives it more than a little bit of a cave-like feel. It really feels like the service department might have once come out all the way to the edge of the soffit, and maybe even the rest of the back of the store might have as well. No real way to know for sure, I suppose... and based on this picture, it doesn't look to have changed anytime recently.
