Back towards customer service

This store does not have self checkouts, which have always seemed to be put in Safeways and Albertsons at random. However, it does still have some LLC Decor register lights on its express registers, which appear to have been replaced recently. It's interesting to see how far the checkouts here were shoved over to the left of the store, starting around aisle 13 of 25. Meanwhile, there's a large blank space in between the first checkout and the floral department, matching the one over by liquor and the US Bank branch. I assume this store once had more checkouts before being shrunk down to 6 plus 2 express at some point.

Compare the category plaques on the aisle 12 sign on this end to the ones we saw earlier. One of the most interesting little details of the PF&H decor packages is how they treated the aisle markers -- instead of having 6 or 8 plaques repeated on both ends of the aisle, they had 4 on one end and another 4 on the other. I always thought it was clever for allowing the font to be larger, but admittedly it does seem a little problematic for navigation (though I'm always surprised at how many people, including my parents, seem to completely ignore the aisle markers when trying to find stuff anyways!).
