fruits & vegetables & bakery

Panning to the right, we see the store's semi-"grand aisle" setup, with produce in the back right corner, the bakery in the middle, and the deli out of frame to the right. This is also somehow the only picture I got of the bakery, which is not particularly impressive here. (Safeway tends to have larger bakery departments, while Albertsons used to have somewhat better baked goods, especially on the sweet side; now everything's Safeway in the combined chain.)

    1. Yeah, SuperValu's three Albertsons decor packages (the Premium Fresh & Healthy series, as Acme Style calls them) weren't always the most interesting -- especially compared to the Albertsons ones that preceded them, and which are sadly now extinct around here. This picture does sell it short a little bit, though... this store does have the nicer version of the decor, which we'll start seeing in the next picture.

    2. Glad to hear it gets better! I'm not against PF&H totally, but the cheap versions in particular I'm not a fan of. The deluxe ought to be nicer for sure. It's just that the paint color in these areas does nothing for me :/
