In the past, I've complained about how boring the area next to Sears is. Apparently, someone decided to do something about that, and turned it into a giant UFO-themed ad for tourism in the south King County suburbs. The local tourism board, which is branded "Seattle Southside", has been doing some wacky advertising over the past few years to try to attract visitors to the not exactly touristy area between Seattle and Tacoma (seriously, I have no idea what people would want to do there -- it really is just generic suburbia), with this being the largest (and weirdest) example I've come across.
This seems almost too on the nose -- taking a loose definition of unidentified flying objects, most people are probably more likely to spot a UFO than an operational Sears these days!
