The grab-and-go deli area near the Starbucks also wasn't reconfigured, leaving the Starbucks with its weirdly uninviting closed-off setup. I was going to say that the flooring was completely messed up over here, but it looks like someone had spilled something all over since it's also on the refrigerated cases, and I guess instead of cleaning it up, someone decided to just put a bread display to sort of hide things from sight. The early 2020s were when Safeway started to massively under-staff their stores, so I'm not particularly surprised.
