I know a lot of people disliked the Grocery Palace layout because it forced shoppers to wind around all sorts of displays (and the pharmacy island itself) on their way to the main part of the store. This seems like a prime example of that -- I have no idea why this case is here other than to make it more difficult to get to the first 8 aisles of the store! Of course, without it here, the pool toy area would be even more of an awkward dead space, but I'm sure Albertsons used that space in a somewhat better manner than Save Mart does.
