A dozen roses

The floral department really doesn't look much different, with the Lifestyle island and even the track lighting remaining. The stores I generally shop at have replaced these islands with normal counters along the wall, so it feels weird to see this, but I think most ex-Lifestyle Safeways still have these. Based on the wet floor cone on the right, apparently they really were trying to keep people from bringing carts into the floral department... no idea what was going on with that. This visit was right before mother's day, which is why there were a bunch of extra displays, but it doesn't seem like there was so much that people couldn't navigate the area with carts -- in fact, there's an employee with a cart right there. Maybe they were still in the middle of setting things up, considering the empty displays on the right.
