Liquor lane

The liquor aisle itself looks a bit claustrophobic thanks to the tall shelving, with the low-hanging light fixtures not helping matters! This store seems to have been an early adopter of having a large chunk of this department locked up too -- back in the 2010s, Safeway generally only kept the must expensive stuff behind glass except in high-theft stores. (Now, this setup is pretty much the baseline, and high-theft stores tend to have the whole liquor department sectioned off with its own dedicated checkout.)
