Fortunately, Sears had installed a fancy see-through security shutter at some point, in place of the traditional perforated metal design, making it easy to get a view through into the fully-lit-up salesfloor. And since this is an interior door, the lighting is the same on both sides, so it's fairly easy to see inside (compared with peering in through an exterior window).
