No more shoes

On my 2023 visit, the shoe department had been completely walled off, but it reopened in 2024. The shoes were gone for good, though, replaced by random items that used to be upstairs, including a bunch of refrigerators in addition to all of the out-of-season merchandise (some of which was probably brought in, or at least dragged out of storage, for the closing sale).

Hey, putting patio furniture under an artificial skylight makes a lot of sense! It probably makes more sense than things that were there in years prior, though it still looks a bit strange with the area rugs under them. And, anyway, having a large patio furniture display during a Christmas sale wouldn't make a whole lot sense even here! Maybe it would have worked in Florida or San Diego, but probably not in Seattle either!

I wonder if Sears had to put a disclaimer saying that BBQing on carpet is not recommended!
