Like most modern small-format stores, Lucky leaned heavily on self checkouts here, with no regular checkout lanes (just 5 self checkouts and the customer service counter). That seems like it would have been a bit awkward here, considering California's restrictions on what can be bought at self checkout along with just how much stuff was kept in locked cases behind the checkout row.
Those "10 for $10 Sale" signs look like something you would have seen in Albertsons in the 00s!
