Stepping inside

My old phone liked the lighting in Trader Joe's even less than in Safeway, so I don't have a lot of pictures here. Plus, there's nothing obvious left from Safeway -- Trader Joe's completely reconfigured the space, including a new lower drop ceiling and brown concrete floors. Is it just me, or do those bananas seem absurdly cheap? (Have I just forgotten how much things cost before this decade's inflation?)

Trader Joe's prices their bananas by the banana, kind of like Target. Unlike Target, I still think 19 cents per banana is pretty cheap as two bananas pretty much ends up being a pound. Randall's has played around with charging per banana prices here recently, but they went back to per pound pricing just like everyone else around here except for Target and Trader Joe's.
